Celebrate April with The Rocco Forte Collection

Easter may have been early this year and the May bank holidays a little while off, but there are still plenty of reasons to celebrate April – here’s a selection of just a few from The Rocco Forte Collection:

Rocco Forte’s Hotel Savoy, Florence
Salman Rushdie’s latest book, The Enchantress of Florence, will be published on 3 April, depicting the city as a powerful and sensual place. Pay a visit yourself and discover how true to life the book is. Stay at the Rocco Forte’s Hotel Savoy, perfectly located on the Piazza della Repubblica, close to Florence's renowned landmark the Duomo and just a short walk from the Uffizi Gallery and the Ponte Vecchio. Designed by Olga Polizzi, the hotel is Italian elegance through-and-through, from its restaurant – one of the most popular in the city - right up to the fitness rooms with fantastic views of red roofs as far as the eye can see. Prices start from £285 per room per night. To book, visit www.roccofortecollection.com or call 0800 988 4040.

Rocco Forte’s The Lowry Hotel, Manchester
An exhibition of Asian artists, including South Korean sculptor, Gwon Osang and others whose work has never before been seen in the UK, will open on 5 April at various galleries in Manchester. The inaugural Asia Triennial Manchester (ATM08) will run until 1 June 2008  and promises to bring fresh art to Manchester. Continue this appreciation of culture by staying in Rocco Forte’s The Lowry Hotel – a bold contemporary architectural statement with its dramatic, curved, glass-fronted façade that stands next to Calatrava's landmark Trinity Bridge. The hotel also has one of the country’s best urban spas, offering exclusive and unique treatments and therapies by Carita, Espa and Ishi. Prices start from £125 per room, per night. Combine these two classic operas with one classic overnight experience at Rocco Forte’s The Balmoral. The hotel offers a dinner, bed and breakfast package from just £260 per room, per night, including dinner for two in Hadrian’s Brasserie, an overnight stay and full Scottish breakfast, plus the full use of The Balmoral Spa (excluding treatments). Rocco Forte’s The Charles Hotel, Munich
Say cheerio to winter at The Munich Spring Festival (11-27 April). Running from 12-19 April, the week will see three premieres of choreographies. Rocco Forte’s The Charles Hotel is located in the heart of the city next to the Old Botanical Garden so is perfectly-situated for all the fun and festivities. Its Munich’s Highlight package includes a ballet menu, whereby the starter and main course is served before the performance and dessert and coffee is taken in the bar afterwards. The package costs from 540 Euro (approx £371) and includes one night’s stay with breakfast and the ballet menu. Ballet tickets must be booked in advance trough the concierge.
